The Sibillini National Park

The Sibillini National Park begins just minutes from Montalto and after just a short 35 minute drive you will find yourself in the midst of one Europe's most spectacular unspoiled and least well known mountain regions. There are numerous walks in this stunning mountain range and since Italians are not on the whole great fans of countryside trekking the paths are usually fairly quiet. 

The walks range from the easy Sunday afternoon stroll to strenuous treks over several days. The mountains reach 2400 meters (over 8000 feet).

The villa is equipped with maps of the mountains that indicate the available walks and as we have done many of these ourselves over the years we are happy to provide advice if you like to take the mountain air.
