The Quatro Venti pizzeria in Montalto (closed Monday) is a short walk from the villa and very good for pizza and pasta and sometimes serves grilled meats (though you will have to ask as its not on the menu). The starters may be limited but are well worth trying, if you are adventurous try the crema frita (deep fried custard – for starters!) Note that if you order the antipasti the courses keep coming! The local wine is also very good. If you book you should be able to order a wonderful Friday fish lunch.
Just a short 5 minuets drive brings you to Montedinve and our new favorite the Del Duca hotel restaurant with a menu that includes many local gastronomic treats. There are a number of other restaurants in nearby, Rocco (10 mins), Patrignone (5 mins), and Ortezzano (20 mins) just to name a few there are many more locally and numerous towards the larger towns on the coast.
