Gardens

The villa has newly laid lawns to all sides and there are plenty of places to relax and with 12 acres of land there is plenty to explore.

The villa is named after the spring in the garden. The north side of the house has a lower terrace for al fresco eating and paths out into the woodland. Further down the hillside below the house has been left as a wilderness area to attract birds and wildlife, sightings include: deer, badgers, red (black) squirrels, polecats, geckos, frogs, toads, foxes, a range of native and migratory birds including buzzards, falcons and eagles and magical spring evenings illuminated by fireflies.

To the west of the villa the ten metre pool - illustrated - is surrounded with a herb and shrub garden. To the south of the villa we have recently planted an orchard with cherry, apple, plum, nectarine and peach trees that will blossom throughout the seasons.

Grounds this size obviously need a good deal of attention and we will negotiate with you so that our gardening during your stay does not disturb your holiday.
